My Introverted Ass Actually Went Out With Friends!

Posted on September 13, 2024November 10, 2025 by Seth

I got to wear my new tac boots to work, today, and they were extremely comfortable! Despite how good they felt, my feet were still on fire by the end of the day. It’s plantar fasciitis, I just know it is. I need some better arch support, as I do have pronounced arches. So I will be investing in a good pair of inserts/orthotics on my next check. Aside from that, work was normal. I played on the grill most of the day, and also took some time to clean the back room up, because we never have time, and it needed it.

TMI, maybe, but I found some long-legged boxer briefs (10″ inseam!) that don’t roll up at all! They’re snug and comfortable as hell. My roommate was like “damn, if they don’t roll up, I need to try them,” so I’m going to give her a pair to try out.

The meeting was about how we alcoholics would try so damned hard to be normal drinkers and would fail every time. (151 big book). I just listened.

I’m losing weight! If not actual weight, then definitely size! I took a bathroom selfie at the coffee shop where we go on Friday nights, and I’m noticing that I am turning square instead of round. That, and my shoulders and traps are starting to become more defined. Sorry for the squinty eye, I was trying to open my eyes up more for the picture. But aside from the picture, the pants I replaced were 46″ waist and literally falling off. The ones I’m wearing in the picture are 42″ and still a little loose.

Finished the day with a blueberry soda float that my roommate bought me at the coffee shop. It was delicious. I was hoping for a grape soda float, but they don’t have grape soda, nor do they have grape flavoring for their Italian sodas. Blueberry was a great alternative! But yeah, I took my introverted ass out with my friends and friendos, and they shared different news about their goings on. I gotta laugh, I write a LOT, but when I’m in person, I don’t really talk or socialize much.

I’m currently noshing on a cheeseburger and a corn dog from work. I plan on getting on my actual diet going again on my next check. Lord knows I’m tired of salty processed foods.

Other than that, I didn’t have a lot of anxiety, today. Which is super nice, because lately, my anxiety has been randomly occurring and borderline panic. The best part is that there is no trigger or reason, it just happens. ADHD’s been well. I find it odd that I have less of an issue with it if I have something to hyperfocus on, like running the grill at work or the pain in my feet. Which I just stretched, and I pulled my toes up and my foot up, and my Achilles tendon was screaming with ecstasy, as was my plantar fascia. Maybe the problem is that I’m not stretching enough!

On a side note, it got up to 93 (~34c), today, and not a single person complained about how hot it was, because compared to the 110s (~44c) we were dealing with not even a month ago, 93 is very nice.

I work day shifts this weekend, so I’ll have some time after work both days to chill and work on that short story. So excited that I finished the draft for it!

Keep on keepin’ on, friends and friendos! 🔆🙌💛
