Achievement Tracking

Posted on November 3, 2025November 10, 2025 by Seth

Last Sunday, I made a list of things that I wanted accomplish over the week ahead. I chose items from all seven pillars of self, and crafted a checklist for each day in order to mark completion of each item. For example, I had a goal to drink a gallon of water a day. By daily goals, I wrote M T W R F Sa Su, and I marked a line through each day’s corresponding letter as I completed them. Alongside this, I wrote a daily journal of my emotions and moods, and whether there were mental blocks that made certain item(s) a struggle or not achieve the goals. This helped me stay focused on tasks that I wanted to get done without losing momentum overall.

Today, I checked my achievement tracker, and was quite pleased that I successfully achieved all but three items. I chose to stay up late twice, and I didn’t quite finish the book I started last Sunday.

PHYSICAL: Among my accomplishments were walking a total of 21km (I was aiming for 16), drinking that gallon a day, I met all of my daily macros, I got dressed to shoes every day.

SOCIAL: I attended a new focus group / meetup that involved a favorite pastime, learned the basics of Magic the Gathering, even winning my first in person battle (they went easy on me). I checked in with friends that I hadn’t talked to all week and also made a point to join a message board related to my goals and introduce myself.

MENTAL: I allowed myself to step away from PC-based MMOs, because I don’t want to burn out so bad that I stop playing entirely, as is what happened with ESO.

EMOTIONAL: I practiced giving myself permission to be unhappy or uncomfortable, and spent more time intentionally listening to myself. I also gave myself permission to turn off when I felt overwhelmed, instead of reaching out to people to regulate me, which only happened once this week. This was more empowering than I expected it to be.

SPIRITUAL: Started a chapter-by-chapter study of one of my favorite epistles, and also attended a meditation session at a friend’s holistic shop. Also started learning the songs on a new album I got.

ENVIRONMENTAL: I made a point to keep my sink empty by washing my dishes every evening before my nighttime routine. This magically caused the rest of my kitchen space to stay clean. I’m not questioning the process.

RECREATIONAL: I started a new social mobile game to compliment the other three that I play.

Anyway, I finished making my goal list for this week, and look forward to seeing the same results!
